The second phase of the Canton Fair, held from October 23rd to 27th, focused on the theme of "Quality Home Furnishings," bringing together over 10,000 exhibitors. The wooden crafts industry stood out.
More and more companies are using sustainably sourced wood and actively seeking certifications such as FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) to meet international environmental requirements.
Companies are no longer solely competing on price, but are enhancing product value through unique designs and craftsmanship. They are combining traditional handicrafts with modern technology, such as using computers to quickly generate 3D renderings to confirm customized solutions. They are also combining traditional Chinese cultural elements (such as hand-painted oil paintings and mortise and tenon structures) with international aesthetic trends to create products that blend Eastern charm with modern sensibilities.
